The Star-Spangled Banner Our National Anthem: #MeToo - Why I and Every American Should Stand
Updated: Nov 21, 2019
The American and National Anthem
When we stand, we are standing for the men and women, in and out of uniform that have gave us so much to us, all of us, even that clown Kaepernick. Every generation before us has made sacrifices for all of us.
This article is for all those of you that put on your fake acts of protest. The act of disrespecting the flag and national anthem with kneeling, sitting and other type actions illustrates a total 100% lack of understanding or just plain old 100% ignorance of history and what the United States means for all Americans. Now, don’t get me wrong here when I say that. I did not say what it means to all Americans, but what it means for all Americans. There is the truth of what the United States means for all Americans and then there is what many Americans have been indoctrinated to think that it means.
The United States as it has become was a dream for our Founding Fathers and Mothers as well as the citizens of the thirteen original American colonies. Not all the citizens mind you, but for a vast majority at that time. A powerful dream, a dream of living in a land free from a tyrannical monarch (that’s a king and or queen for you less educated haters out there), a land that they themselves could determine their own destiny in, not some king thousands of miles away. This dream is a dream that we all should still hold near and dear in our hearts today. However, sadly, today, many do not. Who among you would trade places with the citizens of the early American colonies if you could? I would bet not none of us would. Even the fake protesters out there.
Is the United States a perfect country? That’s an easy answer, NO. Will it ever be perfect country? Another easy answer, NO. There is no perfect country, nor will they ever be a perfect country as along as it has humans as its citizens. Humans are flawed; thus, all countries are flawed. Were our Founding Fathers perfect people? Well, another easy one, NO. No one is or ever will be perfect. There are those that disrespect the flag and the anthem out of their own hate for their own country, almost as if the country did not do something for them that they expected it to do. To this day, I can’t and never will understand that kind of perverted thinking or how sick you must be in the mind to even think that way. What is wrong in your mind to even think that way? “Go see a doctor for help.” There are those out there that hate, because it was taught to them to hate. Either, by their family, their schools, their teachers, their religion or other sources of hate teachings. Just look at most any college and almost all media today. They spew nothing but hate most of the time. There are those that disrespect just because they can, they have no reason other than that. There are those that think they are owed something, or that they have had it too easy in life and want to sympathize with others that did not have such an easy life. There are many illogical reasons that people use to disrespect flag and the anthem, and for many, they were never taught to respect anything or anyone else in the first place. I give no apologies for stating the facts here if they upset you. Go read BS articles that make you feel safe. “I don’t care.” If you missed that part, I say again, “I don’t care.”
Every group that has ever come to the United States has suffered. So, “get over it cupcake.” It’s a fact. Blacks have suffered, whites have suffered, the American Indians have suffered and any other group or race, or nationality as well. This is life and all we can do is try and make it better now as best we can, The past be damned, it is the past, we learn from it and we move on, we make it better. However, the many that disrespect the flag and the anthem, are trapped in their minds in the past as if what happened hundreds of years ago, or even 5 years ago or less is somehow hurting them today, when, actually, the only thing hurting them is their own limited mentality that holds them back.
