Shout-Out to the 48th Infantry Brigade on Your Return Home from Afghanistan
Updated: Oct 4, 2019
The 48th Brigade of the Georgia Army National Guard suffered 10 combat, noncombat casualties.
Military Shout-Out sends a great big Military Shout-Out to the 48th Brigade of the Georgia Army National Guard that is starting to return home from their 6 months deployment to Afghanistan. The brigade suffered 10 casualties on this deployment. Our hearts here at Military Shout-Out feels for those lost and their families, our prayers or with them. Welcome home 48th and thank you for your service and sacrifice. We all are in your debt.
The 48th Brigade has a rich history dating back to before the War Between the States with their service in the Southern Armies all the way to Appomattox to Iraq and Afghanistan.
The brigade is returning a little bit sooner than they expected (Sept) thanks to United States President Donald Trump’s call in December for a substantial troop drawdown in Afghanistan. Our hats are off to the 48th for their honored service and to US President Donald J. Trump for reducing US troop strengths in that theater.
