Our Military Upholds the Constitution While Democrats Shred their Oath and the Constitution
The oath of Congress: "I (name) do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
The American people voted for our leaders to go to Washington D.C. to help lead the country down the road to prosperity for all Americans and to support and defend the Constitution. Each of our leaders has taken an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution. They were not elected to shred the Constitution. They were not elected to violate their oaths of office. Everyone in the United States Congress and Senate takes an oath of office. That oath is as follows: “I (name) do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.” It is with sad heart that we today have Nancy Pelosi and her democratic allies shredding both their oaths of office and the Constitution while our brave American heroes live by their oaths while supporting and defending the country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
As you read this, we have troops actively deployed to hot spots around the world such as Syria, Iraq, Africa, South Korea and other places. Those American troops put their lives on the line to protect us daily, our way of life and the Constitution of the United States. Unlike Congress, those American troops must actually live to the oath that they pledged, unlike many in Congress today.
Their oath is not that much different then the oaths that our leaders take. The current military oath is as follows: “I, (Name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
The only major difference between these two oaths of office is in the following of orders from the President and the officers appointed over them and oh, yeah, that little bit about the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) which every man and women in the military must follow. It is interesting that our leaders have no code of justice to follow when they are sitting in the ivory towers of money and power over the American people. They only have to follow the laws of the land and whatever rules they set for themselves and can break at will. While a member of the military must follow both civilian and military laws.
Military members cannot tell lies to their superiors, unlike Congress who can lie to their superiors, American voters at will. If a military member tells a lie, they will face charges under the UCMJ. When a member of Congress lies like we all have seen with examples of Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Suhumer and others like AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) with all their lies on almost any subject you can think of. You would be hard pressed to find any truth in what comes out of their mouths. Adam Schiff sat right in front of the American people in a hearing and just made up a whole conversation that the President had with a foreign leader and the Speaker of the House defended it. When pressed, many members in Congress (all Democrats no less) acted as if his lies to the American people were ok. Their oath to support and defend I guess gives them permission to act as such while if any military member acted this way, they would be a violation of their oath and the UCMJ.
The United States and the Constitution has taken many hits over the last few hundred plus years, but what we are seeing now form Congress is something totally new, but not really unexpected. For well over three plus years now, the Democrats, the never Trump crowd and their Deep State operatives have been trying to take down a duly elected president. Now, for the most part, it is just politics ramped up higher than it has been in the last forty plus years as the political ruling class see an outsider president doing a better job they have done. Where I come from, we call that jealousy.
During the past three years, our military members have witnessed a total assault on a president. President Trump is arguably best supporter of the men and women of the military that they have seen in their lifetimes. President Trump tops many other past presidents in his support of the military, even President Bush. The closest comparison to President Trump would be President Reagan in the 80’s. Military veterans from that ear will know what we are talking about here, whereas many of our younger members were never taught about President Reagan and all the great things he did for the country and the military in their schools.
The United States Constitution gives the powers of impeachment to Congress and the power of a trial to the Senate. The United States Constitution states in Article II, Section. 4: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” The Constitution is very clear on this as you can read here.
The Constitution clearly states treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors are the only grounds for impeachment. Not because you lost an election, or a president does his job where possible crimes have been committed. For anyone who can read, anyone with more than two braincells or anyone who is fare, that it is 100% clear to see that there is not one ounce of treason, bribery, or any high crimes and misdemeanors committed here in the Presidents calls to the Ukrainian President. All one has to do is read the call transcript. Now, if the English language has been changed in the last few months, I have not heard about it. When I read: “I would like you to do us a favor.” That is the Presidents exact words here. How can this be conscrewed into an impeachment, is beyond me. With that being said, I can’t get to where the Democrats are with this. Now, when I was in school, the word “us” refers to more than one person. Maybe that is too simple for some people to understand, but I can’t help you with other people’s ignorance. There is a big difference between I and us in the English language. Next, as I also understand it, when the United States President speaks to other world leaders, he is speaking on behalf the country, not himself. So, here the word “us” means us as a country. Well, that is how any normal person would understand it. The President of the United States is charged with upholding our countries laws. So, when a President asks another world leader to investigate potential crimes, he is doing his job for the American people. Next, I also understand that some people claim that this is investigating a political opponent. I would ask, because someone is a political opponent, does that mean that we don't investigate? Does that mean that when there is the appearance of a crime, that we can’t investigate that potential crime? If that is the case, then we all have lost something important to us, our rule of law. To me, that is the same as telling a criminal prosecutor to not investigate crimes and to take people trial and have them put in jail or prison when found guilty. Why have the police and prosecutors on the payroll if we are not going to investigate crimes? Why have a President that does not care about what crimes may have been committed? Well hell, let's just let the criminals take over, we can save a lot of money. You may be dead, but we are saving money.
Democrats charging the President with articles of impeachment for this gives the appearance of covering up for a former Democrat Vise President. A VP who just happens to be in the same party as they are. One would think that if the former VP did nothing wrong as they try to claim, that they, the Democrats would welcome the President asking for an investigation as they know it would clear the former VP and his family of any criminal matters. An investigation into this, neither helps or hurts the President or for the matter the former VP unless these is fire with that smoke is. It would however help to ensure with the American people, that we as a country have rules and laws that everyone must follow. Even former VP’s and their children. Could it be that the Democrats know more then they wish to let on here? I just wonder with the way the Democrats are acting here.
We are seeing the Constitution being turned upside down by one political party while the other party finds themselves with their hands tied because the other party is making all the rules. The Democrats are making up the rules in their favor with no sense of cooperation between the two parties or any sort of fair play for the other side or the President for that matter. Yet, while all this unfolds before the eyes of the nation, our troops are living to their oaths and upholding the Constitution every day. Even when their leaders are not. What examples are they learning from Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic allies? Well, let me tell you, not any good ones for sure.
